fontenelle history.

Born to a Japanese business man and a German heiress, Bethenny was given pretty much everything she wanted as a child. The best clothes, the best toys, the best of everything and all she desired. If she wanted a puppy, she got a puppy. If she wanted a clubhouse, she got a guesthouse built in her honour. It was so good to her that her parents would give her whatever her heart desired. By the time she was twelve, she was accustomed to a certain kind of lifestyle.

But once she became a teenager, it was as if her parents disappeared. While there was always at least her mother around, this time there was no one. She had a large house, two in fact, all to herself. She could call and ask for anything, absolutely anything, and it would be delivered or paid for. But it got lonely being in a house that was filled with all of these things she wanted but she grew to not want them anymore. She wished she could give it all to a genie or a fairy god mother so that she could be back together with someone.

At first, though, it was fun. Running through halls, calling over all of her school friends, doing whatever her thirteen-year-old self pleased. But that only lasted so long.

As it stands, Bethenny has a bit of a bitter streak. Before, she was spoiled, a little bratty, but now she'll do whatever she can to get as much attention as possible. This includes being a little manipulative at times, cheerful facades, and niceties that she may not mean. She can be genuinely nice when she needs to be! But she knows that crying and being angry doesn't really get the attention she wants. Being mean makes people dislike you, and while that gets attention...not the right kind. She isn't the kind of child who'll take any kind of look or praise or attention. She want's the genuine, 100% devoted kind.

She has frequent sad jags, lonesome days, and typically throws a party on the weekends open to everyone since she likes to fill the mansion. Think of Gatsby-esque parties with a lot of candor and expensive shit that is overdone and flamboyant. She's got the cash so why not.

Being in 10th grade, Bethenny wants what all fifteen year old girls want: to go out, have a boyfriend, and to play with friends. She does two of those three things; currently on the prowl for a man. But unlike some girls, she won't take a man who has fake feelings for her because of her wealth.

Also, her mother is pregnant, two months along, and she's going to find out sometime soon. She has a job at a boutique: not because she needs a job but because she likes clothes and getting to them first. If she has three likes it's people, clothes, and dogs. Which she has three. One pug, one teacup poodle, one scottie dog. All have their own closets and wardrobes.
